It all started when…

MOBILE ON-SITE SHREDDING was started by Lou & Christine Truyens in May 1999. While there were other shredding businesses around, Lou’s plan was to make life easier for everyone by doing the shredding onsite. So he purchased a new truck and had a purpose built shredder fitted and the business began.

Initially the operation worked for Wellington businesses, with Lou and Heru making up the team but soon spread with the truck going further afield shredding for anyone who had confidential papers to dispose of.

Sadly Lou passed away in June 2011 but the business remains in the family, with Christine taking over the operation with daughter Morag who runs the office and scheduling. Heru is still part of MOBILE ON-SITE SHREDDING and is joined by Tony who operates the second truck purchased in 2017.

Christine says “ I think our business is unique in that we come to our customers and shred on the spot. We are also members of the New Zealand Security Association (NZSA) who audit our business every three years.”

Now, MOBILE ON-SITE SHREDDING cover the greater Wellington region including the Kapiti Coast, shredding documents for businesses large and small. We regularly visit medical practices, dentists, schools, hospitals or anyone who has unwanted paperwork to dispose of. After the destruction is processed, we issue a certificate of destruction confirming our 100% confidential service.
